2. Christ the redeemer:-

The first idea to design a huge statue of Christ in Rio came in the 1850s, when a local priest of K had come up with the idea of building a christian monument a top Mount corcovado. He requested ( the daughter of the emperor pedro || and the Brazilian princess regent) to fund him for this project. But after the proclamation of the Republic in Brazil in 1889, the idea was scrapped and the church in the country was separated from the state as a pinnacle.

It was not built until after World War I, when a group of Roman Catholic fundamentalists and locals in Rio began to worry about the lack of religious belief in the Brazilian community. After this, a huge statue of Jesus was expected to be placed on top of a mountain in Rio. It was then requested that the statue of Jesus on the summit of Mount Corcovado be seen from anywhere in Rio and from anywhere. This statue showed Rio how to regain Christianity.
